Established:
Baker Tank Company has been in continuous operation since 1935 at the Arp, Texas plant facility. Justiss Oil Company purchased Baker Tank Company in 1975 and Altech was added to the Corporation in 1985.
Brief History:
The Baker Tank Company/Altech plant facility occupies a 58 acre site with approximately 130 employees. Baker/ Altech has a complete engineering and design department plus a fleet of trucks for dedicated delivery direct to the jobsite. The modern plant facilities consist of over 150,000 square feet of work space. Baker Tank Company/Altech products have been shipped and installed to many overseas locations that include Taiwan, Thailand, New Zealand, Fiji, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, The Caribbean, Canada, Holland, Belgium, Hong Kong, Johnston Atoll, Italy and Saudi Arabia.

Graduated Louisiana Tech University 1983 with degree in Business Administration.
Joined Baker Tank Company/Altech following graduation as apprentice to
familiarize self with operations functions. Served as Sales Representative,
Estimator, Scheduling Coordinator, and Operations Manager prior to assuming
responsibilities of General Manager in 1993.
Larry Patterson, Manager of Operations/MIS/CNE
Larry has 28 years experience in the tank, pipeline construction business. He started with Baker Tank Company in 1975 as a welders helper. Promotions included Code Welder/Fitter, Department Lead Person. From 1982 to 1986 served as Senior Welding Inspector for SHALCO (joint venture between Amoco Int. and the government of Sharjah, U.A.E.) for the construction of the Condensate and LPG facility in Sharjah, U.A.E. and the tank facilities at Hamryah, U.A.E. From 1986 to current Baker Tank Co./ Altech promotions include Altech Shop Foreman and Operations Manager. Holds certifications in Information Systems Applications, Networking Administration and the CNE (Certified Novell Engineer) certification from Novell.
William Stanley, Manager Field Operations and Transportation
Thirty years experience in the tank construction business. Started
with Baker Tank Company as a welder in 1969. Promoted to field Foreman
in 1975. Served as Field Construction Consultant for Baker Tank Company
in Thailand during the summer of 1995. Assumed position of Manager, Field
Operations and Transportation in April 1999.
Mark A. Boles, Chief Engineer
1976 Graduate of Texas A & M University with B.S. Degree in Engineering
Technology. In 1976 joined Baker Tank Company/Altech and has served as
draftsman, estimator, sales and service representative and design engineer
prior to assuming responsibilities of Chief Engineer in 1986. Member of
ASME and API Sub-committee on Pressure Vessels and Tanks.
